Wildlife of Sudan

Sudan is a region of northern Africa, sudan’s wildlife include fauna and flora. It has 287 species of mammals and 207 species of birds.

Chimpanzee is one of the animal that live in sudan and they are social animals. They can walk on the ground with all fours (knuckle-walking). Mostly they stay in trees and also they can move in the trees, where they do most of their eating. Also they sleep in the trees as well, they create nests of leaves in their trees. Chimpanzee can live more than 50 years and the male chimpanzees usually lead the group.

Dama Gazelle is also one of the animal that live in sudan, the Sahara desert and the Sahel. They have brown color on their neck and white on other body. They feed on acacia, by bush leaves and grasses. The dama gazelle is the world's largest gazelle. Both sexes have horns, but the female is shorter than the male and dama Gazelle doesn’t drink water that much. They eat grasses, leaves, shoots, and fruit.

Grevy's Zebra can find in sudan, it can run up to 40 miles per hour Population decline of 50% In the last two decades. They eat grasses, legumes, and browse and they spend 60 percent of their day eating. Their weigh 350–450 kg and it is the largest wild. Their color is black and white. Ostriche is large flightless birds. It is one of the animal that live in sudan and also they found in savannas, woodlands, desert, plains, semi desert, dry grasslands and scrubs. Their speed is 43 mph and they eat roots, leaves, and seeds. Sometimes they eat available things, stones, and pebbles . Ostrich kicks can kill peoples and their neat can have 60 eggs in it. Their wings balance them when they run.

Grebe

Grebe is one of the animal that live in sudan and also in North America, Asia, and Europe. They eat fish, crustaceans and, aquatic insects. Grebe cannot fly at all and they have lobed toes, so they are also different from other ducks. Some grebes move very slow on land, some of them are unable to walk at all and some of them are able to walk. They found in freshwater (lakes or rivers).
